"The Snowy Day"

Yesterday I felt like Peter in the immortal "Snowy Day". The sun shone, the snow glistened, and I dragged apple tree branches through the drifts to the firepit. A woman with a saw and a mission! The forty-something fruit trees are a manageable height again - for another few months.
The "snow tracks" reminded me of the fabulous picturebook heritage left to us (and future generations) by Ezra Jack Keats.
