Returning to Canadian airspace

After three weeks in glorious Italy, it is a little difficult getting back in gear. Reuniting with family was step one and most important - truly no trip can compare.
I don't mean to imply that returning to Canada itself was in any way a letdown. It's just different, a sort of "floating about" feeling, not quite on one continent or the other.  I'm still surprised to wake up in our own bed, to look out the window and see yellow daffodils  rather than lemon trees, cars rather than gondolas or mules. No bells chime the quarter hours and the grocery store is miles away rather than only 200 stairs down. My mind seems to tell me that I need time to savour the differences, to re-think my views on life, to just plain revel in little memory traces that may soon disappear.
But always there are commitments - like the VAB portrait show coming up.  Here's a one minute Canadian treasure from the NFB that you might enjoy if you too are interested in the way we are - at least visually -  the same and yet different.
